Exile To The Wind

Who's stupid idea was it to line people up on street in buring hot or freezing cold weatrher so that others could walk drive and ride by to adavertise, brag and other wise influnce those lined up.
The food is unhealthy and overprised.
The streets are not made for this kind of production.
In smaller towns it is about making sure the wannabe's know they are not good enough.
I large cities all parades end up being about political causes.
Okay so in acient Greese and Rome they had a place but there is no ongoing reason to continue the tradition of parades today.
I can see the reason for the olympic prade of nations, and the UN's parade of introduations but beond that they need to go away.

Who want to stand on the street and watch, or worse who wants to be in a Parade and be the shmuck showing off to the viewers!

Why do they throw candy at the kids on the street? Parents work hard to teach their kids to stay out of streets but after only one parade they think running in the road after candy is just fine!

If they want to have some sort of indoor event then they should let people walk around the floats and give then the candy nicely. No one like to have things thrown at them or be told that what they belive is wrong in the eyes of anouther group of parade goers!

The next time there is a parade I am going to stay home!
